Athletic Bands

Along with the Marching Mavs, UNOmaha offers opportunities for students to participate in athletic bands. From NCAA Division I Hockey to NCAA Division II Football, Volleyball, and Basketball, Maverick sports are always competitive.

Power Play, UNOmaha's Hockey Band, performs at all home hockey games and many university events. Power Play's repertoire ranges from current top 40 hits to songs made popular by the 70's horn bands. Maverick Horns, UNOmaha's Basketball and Volleyball Band, performs at home volleyball games, and men's and women's basketball games, and many other events. The Maverick Horns play upbeat pep band arrangements and cheers. This ensemble is open to all university students by audition. For more info, contact Mark Diischer, Director.
