His electroacoustic/computer music work has been presented at numerous conferences, festivals, and concert venues including the International Computer Music Conference, the Society for Electroacoustic Music in the United States, CeCH, Electronic Music Midwest, Dartmouth College, San Jose State University, and the Peabody Conservatory among others. Favorite projects include sound installations, improvisations with computers, and real-time interactive computer music composition.
This Fall, he begins an appointment as Assistant Professor of Music Technology at the University of Nebraska (Omaha) and will teach courses in Digital Synthesis, Audio Recording Techniques, and Double Bass. He will continue his post as Principal Bass of the Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra, a position that he has held since 2000.
In addition to his past memberships in Washington, DC electroacoustic ensembles like the 21st Century Ensemble and the Peabody Computer Music Consort, he also performed with the double bass sections of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, National Philharmonic, National Symphony, Washington Bach Consort, Washington National Opera, National Chamber Orchestra, and the National Art Gallery Orchestra. Before working in the DC area, he held full-time symphony orchestra posts with the Orquesta Filarmonica de GC (SPAIN) and the Shreveport Symphony.
