Kara Hulsey holds a Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Kara has performed with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, the Green Bay Symphony, the Fort Smith Symphony, and the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Her chamber music experience includes performing with the Wingra Woodwind Quintet, the Cinco Viento Woodwind Quintet, the Commando Bassoon Ensemble, and the Madisoon Bassoon Quartet. Ms. Hulsey's teaching experience has included teaching at the Boston Mountain Chamber Camp in Fayetteville, Arkansas and teaching at double reed festivals in both Arkansas and Wisconsin. In addition to teaching applied bassoon at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Kara maintains a private bassoon studio.
