Jazz Ensembles
The award-winning UNOmaha Jazz Ensembles continue to receive acclaim for their outstanding musical performances from internationally recognized jazz artists, clinicians, and adjudicators. In addition to the annual UNOmaha Jazz Festival, the groups compete with other college jazz ensembles at nationally recognized competitions, including the University of Northern Colorado and Wichita Jazz Festivals. Jazz Ensemble membership is open to all university students through an audition which includes sight reading and improvisation. Jazz Lab Band membership is open to all university students with no audition required. An active Jazz Combo program is also available to all students.
