Marching Mavs Guard Audition Information
One of the most visible ensembles at the University of Nebraska at Omaha is the Marching Mavs. This highly spirited ensemble performs at all UNO home football games in addition to at least one away game, Regional Marching Band Festivals, and local university functions. In 2005, the band was selected to represent the state of Nebraska in the 55th Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington D.C. There is no audition required for membership in this ensemble, and scholarships are available for all participants, regardless of academic major.

Scholarships
Each season, a $250 scholarship is available for students (majors and non-majors) who play in the Marching Mavs. This award is in addition to any academic scholarship award and/or music scholarship (music majors) you may receive from UNO. 2008 Band Camp
The 2008 Marching Maverick Band Camp will be held August 18-22 on the UNO campus. Anyone interested in participating in the Marching Mavs for the 2008 season should plan on attending. Drumline camp will be held all day August 13 and 14 and until noon on August 15. Leadership Camp will be held from 1:00 pm on Friday, August 15 until 5:30 pm on Saturday, August 16.
