Choral/Vocal Studies
The Choral/Vocal Program at UNO offers a diversity of
quality programming and instruction for students in both music education
and music performance. Voice students can gain expertise in Opera, Music
Theatre, Vocal Pedagogy and Literature. A variety of master classes
and recitals presented throughout the year offers students opportunities
to study with outstanding performing artists and educators. Off-campus,
UNO voice students have performed with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra
and Opera Omaha and the Lincoln Orchestral Association.

The University choirs offer a variety of opportunities
for student-musicians interested in continuing their ensemble performance
experiences. Each organization provides strong musical training and
unique social activities that can significantly contribute to the college
experience. Membership is open to music majors and non-music majors
and scholarships are available. The emphasis of each ensemble varies
to provide a complete musical experience.
