Wind/Percussion StudiesThe University Band Program at UNO provides a variety of performing opportunities in the areas of concert band and wind ensemble, jazz ensembles, marching band, and small ensemble chamber music. A variety of master classes and recitals presented throughout the year offers students opportunities to study with outstanding performing artists and educators.
Membership in all ensembles is open to music majors and non-music majors and scholarships are available. Each program offers strong musical training and unique social activities that can significantly contribute to the college experience.
Artist-faculty provide individual private instruction in all winds and percussion. Weekly lessons and master classes are required for music majors. Guest recitals by national and international known artists provide students outstanding experiences and exposure.
